I just purchased an Rode NT3 from GC for $159. I am running it through a ART Dual MP and it sounds wonderful. Very warm. Nice sounding microphone.

I purchased a used Shure KSM32 for $399 at Guitar Center and it sounds great for the vocals.

Now I just need to learn how to use all my gear to get the best sound possible.

I've read so much conflicting information from the so called "pros" concerning how to use my gear, I could puke. I've gleaned what I can from them and now I've decided to spend as much time as possible experimenting. That has proven to be the most productive use of my time.

earthworm,

if you get a chance, let us know how they sound as drum overheads in a three (or four) mic setup...

i'd be very interested to see if they pick up the kit well enough and with enough "punch".....someone told me that since they were hypercardioids they may not be the best for overheads...let me know what you think..

thanks
