I am interested in a pair of Earthworks for classical recording, mostly chamber music with strings and also solo strings. I have never heard any sound samples of these mics, but have heard that they would be less than ideal, especially when comparing to the TC or QTC series. Can anyone elaborate??

Does anyone know how this compares to the sr-77 (sr-30) model, besides less self-noise?
