:) :) :) on the lyric, thanks man!
I definately need to restructure the tune a bit, I hate the form through the ending. The whole ending had an ugly dog sort of appeal to me at the time. Another change up in there somewhere may be a good thing if some drum programming doesn't do it.

Thanks,. I've recently decided to compress the hell out of my vocal tracks, but didn't with this one. I should have. I was happy just getting the low end mud off of it without having to eq.

Thanks. Ya, the vocals will be getting worked on. Retracked if possible.
I'm not sure about the tempo. I hear what everyones saying tho, and I may have had it quicker over different rythm tracks before. I do hear it dragging here and there. I'm going to embelish the drum track first and take it from there.

"Sure Looks Good"

Ok... DOUGH :D... here we go (BTW haven't looked at the thread)...

Sparse drums... guitar is a bit too large in the mix... nice Joe Strummer/The Clash vocal. "Dark horse in the running"... Cool. Has that 1978-mix ambience to it... My Sharona vs. a slow The Clash song...

Vocal levels are low, then high... fader automation/riding (or, last result "compression") needed.

Gtr is slightly out of tune... but could be for effect.... isn't that noticeable until the end.

Gtr part is very melodic but needs level tamed... and some panning... otherwise your mix is heavily tilting to the left-side of the soundstage.

Nice beginning, really!

Damn, I was hoping to get away with that

"but could be for effect.... "

you and Jamal sited the same lyric :)

Thanks for the feedback

Hi DougH

Nice to meet you.
I like sparse songs like this because they
highlight my fave 3 instruments.
Guitar sound is awesome and well played
Bass is supportive
Drums are bloody great
Vocal, I would never presume to critique anybody's voice the way I sing :)

It's fun to just throw stuff out there sometimes

Well done!

Thanks for the good words!
I'm really happy about the positive responses on the drum mix.
