Notice a lot of unfair Behringer bashing, what's up?

Honest Behringer Remark(s)

Here's my 2 cents on Behringers products. I have 20+ Behringer products and this is how I know. To put it to you all simply. Behringer makes the best
"Features For The Buck" products, do they make the "Best" products? HELL NO!

Almost every product I have bought from Behringer has had some problem and required being sent back until I got one that worked. I have had to return 2 mixers (FX1832) before I got one that worked, I have 2 amps with poor excuses for input jacks, plus had to repair a bad ribbon cable in one of them. Most everything with an LED readout has one or more light segments that don't work.

The power supplies in the mixers fail with in a year, I found out that power supplies was something Behringer needs a little lesson in. The bass amp head BX3000T is just plain awesome, the GMX212 guitar amps work fine, after you fix the defects. The 1200 guitar head, so far has not given me any problems (knock of something that's made of real wood). the rack mount equipment for audio enhancements are extremely hit and miss, you might get one that works, or even more, will last long enough to understand how to operate it.

The 8500 microphone are just the best in the world, not quite as punchy as the Shure58, but, aweful dang close. I could on for the stuff I have with the beringer logo it, but let me make this point to all of you:

You buy Behringer... It might just work, but it might not.

Chances of a satisfactory purchase from Behringer: 45%

And you dug up a two-year old thread to state your $0.02? What, there weren't enough current threads about Behringer to add to?

Sorry, trying to be cute doesn't cover up cluelessness.

Tell me the story. it's gotta be more interesting than your post. Hey, we're kidding, sorry in advance, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Your comments don't make Behringer look much better if that's what you're trying to do. On the contrary, it's the worst review I've seen - at least you're thorough, covering several of their products. :D

OK, let's see here now....

What have we learned?

Many folks hate Behringer because they are pretty certain that he stole un-patented designs from their rightful owners and then had them manufactured in China for much less money than the originals and with apparently lower quality control and appears to be totally unrepentant for his theft of intellectual property.

Some folks like Behringer, because the products are inexpensive and they don't think that they should be held morally responsible for evaluating the circumstances under which a product is created or brought to market and feel that it would be an onerous requirement to have to personally investigate every product they buy to ensure that there were no Copyright, Patent, Trademark infringements involved.

What about us poor unsuspecting schmucks that knew nothing of the Behringer sins and just bought what appeared to be something that would do the job for a reasonable price?

I'm feeling guilty now.

I'm not sure if it is PC to throw out the nasty $100 mixer I bought (which does a great job) and be cleansed of my sin or would it be OK if I kept it until it broke (as long as I don't tell anyone I have it)? According to the bashers, it won't last that long anyway!

Wow - this was an interesting thread, I found it trying to see why there were so many reviews of Behringer stuff that were polar opposites - either you loved them or you hated them - if you hated them, it was as if you were involved in some kind of a jihad and there was some holy obligation to "shun the non-believers", if you liked them, you would say so, but there was no real defence of them, just a positive comment.

Interesting................

Graverobber. ^^^^

Behringer makes a fair product for a fair price I'd say.

wow! Dead kittens, European espionage, walmart, dead kittens????... ! As a vegetarian I am fine with dead cows, dead pigs, dead birds, dead whatever at the store.. (though it would be strange to walk into Guitar Center and buy a pot roast) ... I thought this was a forum for talking about gear and recording and playing and listening and, in this case, Behringer gear. Some people have more money that other people. Most people don't buy Behringer or shop at Walmart because they are making cake. It's budget gear. It's not a good copy .. and yes, it is a copy.
