Cool song...How were the drums recorded? I'm listening on phones, but the toms were a bit loud at times, like your mic(s) were too close and you had no option to mix them separately. Again, could be the cans. Neat song though, and pretty tight. Someone else might have better mixing advice for ya...I never trust my headphones, or anyone's for that matter.

Nice job.

thanks sluice! drums were recorded with a beta 52 on the kick,
sm 57 on the snare. he had four toms and i only had two sm 57's
left so i put them in between the toms i panned the small toms
hard left and the others hard right! i think the lack of separation
with the toms is due to the fact that i only used one over head.
my cheap at 3035. when i mixed it i duplicated the the overheads and panned them at about 50% each side. so the stereo image is
getting a big tom sound. if you listen to the roll during the descending line right before the lead you will hear them go left to right. tim,

hit me!!!

Sounds rockin'! But i wanna be slapped more with the guitars!! Especially in the verse...maybe low shelf them and bring em up and out!!! Sounds good though...

Work on getting the vox in tune. The guitars could be a lot brighter but the vox should be retracked. Sounds live and kinda weak.

The song and performance are good, the mix needs some EQ help. It could use some more mids on the drums and guitar. they're kinda muddy.

remixed the song "diggin"

i tried to implement all the suggestions as best i i could in the hour and a half i played with it today. i tweaked eq on guitar &
overheads, reduced the toms a bit. did some automation on the
bass levels. and even threw some autotune on my vox tracks (just on the verse parts) dont get me wrong i know how some
people feel about autotune! but i thought this would be good
practice for me! and i would like to know how to use all the tools.
but l know i have a long way to go! thanks, Tim,
