NOISEY DURING MIXDOWN

I have alot of noise glitches pops etc during most stages of mix down .I wonder what could cause this. When I burn the track onto CD it seems Ok but during mixdown it is terrible.I have heard of some agp cards confilcting with recording programs.
My agp is a S3inc Trio3D/2X V1.00.28.
Has any one got one of these out there.
ps I'm going crazy.
Any other ideas out there PL PL PLEASE!!!!

You've posted this in the Cool Edit Forum, but your problem isn't Cool Edit - Cool Edit doesn't add noise to your files. It's your soundcard cum computer almost for sure. Anyway, it's the CD that counts, so if that's okay, the problem's minor, yes?
