noise removal software?

Does anyone know of software that will clean up old analog recordings....ie.. taking crowd noise out of a recording. ?? Convert the analog to digital...say, wav?? what to do from there???? I know there must be some digital software solution..anyone?????.

- Izotope RX3....price USD 349
- Izotope Music and speech cleaner price USD 20 (no longer available at Izotope), but perhaps it is still bundled in 3rd party software such as Roxio NXT pro...need to check at roxio
- Sony Noise reduction price USD 280 (Sony Creative Software - Vegas video - ACID & Sound Forge audio editing)

Izotope Rx works great. But yeah it's not cheap.
