I am recording audio: voice and guitar with a tascan mixer and going through the line in at the SB LIVE. The Quality is good except that I have a random noise like the one coming from an old VINILO disc with dust. The audio signal is not saturated, but when there is a silence this noise disappear

Sounds like the Tascam mixer or something in the chain is causing some kind of distortion. Try recording into a cassette deck or something else from the Tascam to see if the noise comes out there, too. What model mixer is it? How old, etc.?

Also try plugging a different source into the SB's line in and see if you hear a similar effect. Could be something's broke there too...

The Soundblaster has an interesting 'feature' that sounds a lot like your problem. I only noticed it when multi-track recording, and someone here helped me with the problem, and I hope it helps you.

By clicking on the little speaker icon to open the volume controls, you can bring up the mixer panel for the 'record control'. There should be a fader for the 'what U hear' option, and bringing this fader all the way down might fix your problem.
