TexRoadkill Audio Bum May 28, 2004 #3 -80 isn't horrible but it's not great. Anything under -100 is pretty good and under -120 is excellent.

Mine is -84.4dB without gain; some -50 ~ -60dB with mic connected and 60% of gain. Is it normal ? I think it's a really big.....huge.....problem FYI, I'm using M-Audio Firewire410, Rode NT3, Belden cables w/ Amphenol connectors and Cakewalk Sonar 3 Producer Edition. How could you measure it for something under -90dB ? I can't find any meter-level lower than -90dB in Cakewalk Sonar 3. Thanks Last edited: Jun 18, 2004
