I have Cubase Sx, Delta 44, Pentium IV @ 2.0, 512mb of DDR ram, and I used the updates including the newest one.

Here's the problem-o:

When I was installing Sx and it was testing the sound card, it told me that there might be an issue with something (I can't remember exactly what it said).

But anyway the problem is that I cannot get any sound going. If I play back any track, I can see the signal indicator moving but NO SOUND!

In the Delta 44 mixer screen the signal indicators are not lighting up meaning Sx is not communicating with the Delta 44.

I tried the troubleshooting thing, but found nothing on my problem.

What's going on here???

I have the same problem every day

But I have found a simple solution :)

I open my Windows Media Player

. . . and select a song to play :)

Once the song starts, get out of WMP and low and behold, I have audio on SX.

I don't know why or how or . . . etc. but it works.

Did it work for you?

If not, try this, too.

In the SX Project window go to:

Devices/VST Outputs and make sure that the Bus that your audio track is set to is also set to the correct soundcard outputs.

For me it's Bus 1 and the Mona 3/4 outs.

That should take care of the audio, then check the Device Setup for the Midi stuff.

Hope this helps.

WELL SHIT ON ME!

I figured out my problem... hahahhaah

Holy moley; it was my stereo set up (I don't have monitors yet).

Oh man I feel like an genuine A-Hole.

hehehe

Oh, well.

And get this, I already sent Steinberg and e-mail stating my problem... hahahah... all I can do now is laugh about it....

:)

There's nothing as humbling as a new piece of software.

And I will be the first to admit it!!
