Hi all

I have recently bought cubase LE 4 and it is quite confusing.
I have a digitech rp 500 connected as a master volume for the whole computer, I also just bought a korg Microkey which uses usb port and I have a beheringer c 1 mic with a phonic firefly 302 usb

IMy mic is connected to the Firefly with a XLR cable.
I can record, with the mic, when i play the recorded track i can hear it through the speakers but when i speak through the mic in real time, there is no sound coming through the speakers despite the mixer's catching the sound.

There must be a small option that i am not aware of or that im skipping.
Also is that possible to have all my instrument connected so that the sound comes out from the digitech rp500? because otherways i have to keep plugging and unplugging my speakers on the digitech and on the firefly...

Thanks you so much for any help and hope i made myself clear :)

Have you hit the monitor button on the track for the mic?

wait, the rp500 guitar processor as master volume?
I'm not sure that I understand.

i attached my speakers to the digitech,so whatever i play on the pc goes through the digitech and out to the speakers...i have somehow done it so that i don't have to keep changing the speakers from the pc to the digitech when i want to hear my guitar...and yeah i have switched the button on the firefly if is what you meant...

thanks for the reply

Sounds like to problem to me...

This button is super small, next to the 'record enable' button on every track. It's round with a little picture of a speaker. Clicking it changes the color from white to yellow. Yellow means you can hear what you're recording in real time. You have to make it white to hear it back AFTER you've recorded something.

You people are GENIUSES!!!! thank you guys sooo much...
Now hopefully with this last question I can resolve all my troubles...so if i connect my digitech rp500 on the back of the firefly (in the analog in analog out space) and on the vst device setup make the firefly as the main audio system drive, in theory everything should come out from the firefly and i will not have to change the option of cubase when i want to record either the mic or the guitar right?
