This is a vocal cover down with some amateur editing. No sound proofing but a decent condenser I think.

I recorded this and just took my first take and ran with it, then edited again, and again. Still havent tried another vocal take. Looking back, I hear lots of stuff I feel I can do better BUT before I run with this again I would like some thoughts!

Thank You

I'm a little confused? If this is a vocal cover, where is the music coming from? Is this Karaoke?

Sorry I should have been more specific.

The music was downloaded off YouTube just for the instrumentals. After the DL I inserted it into pro tools and recorded with it.

Considering the Youtube download the vocals actually sit pretty damn good in this mix. There's a lot of rappers asking how to do this all the time...
Didn't find too many issues with the performance, the edits seem to have worked out okay.

Well, when James gets his vocal chords burnt by pyro, you can do the vocals and Hetty can play guitar! :)

Well, real musicians, original song? Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to sing along, you did well.

Any advice though?

Advice on what? Sounds like a good impersonation. I'd like to hear what you have to give in an 'original format'. Not sure the whole Ripper/Halford/Priest thing could possibly happen twice in one lifetime. :/

You should do some tracks to original music, and come up with your own style. I am not talking down to you by the way. In fact, I have some rough recorded originals that have no vocals, that you could mess with if you feel inspired. These are very rough tracks that a couple buddy's of mine were all in the same state at once, so we threw down a bunch of ideas we had been working on. Here are two of 12. Give it a go man. :)
