Well hello there...
www.myspace.com/veritone
-A Girl I know: Almost 4 minutes, good radio song if the length isnt a problem. Are my vox too low?

-Walking Alone: Quick song, to the point, high vocal presence, our choice for radio play.

-Bed and a Knife: Remake of an old song. recorded 10 months ago and adopted by our new band. the other two songs were recorded and mixed this week.

Any advice on any songs/mixing are badly needed. i like to hear the constructive criticism on any level, so thank you very much for taking the time for this!

PS
If anyone would rather show me what they would do differently instead of explain, LET ME KNOW! ill get you the tracks for any of the songs!

THANKS!

wow TO MY ears this is a pretty good mix, maybe you shouldnt pan the guitars so far out...um everything else sounds good...

Thanks, i've heard the vocals are too low on A Girl I Know, i dont know i may turn them up a bit. thanks for the input!

A Girl I know - nice jazzy feel, good driving bass sound... vocals are hard to hear - probably need a volume boost. Chorus is good and catchy, but again vocals are low. Maybe a little more bite on the electric there. Could be more dramatic with those elements... Good jazzy solo. Good song overall, enjoyed it.

A Bed A Knife - ???? Keeps saying "Song not found" ... same with "walking alone"

ANyway, enjoyed A girl I know, cool stuff

Good tune, but sounded like it was distorting all the way through. Was that intentional? if not a good limiter may help.

you have some major clipping problems...espically on a girl i know....

the tunes would be good, but it's hard to get past all the distrotion in the recording.

He's right.

is the clipping just on a girl i know? because im listening to all of them now and it sounds like its the only one thats doing it a little bit. i guess i boosted the db's too much. thanks

-Conrad

ps if anyone still cant access the other two songs, then let me know because i just loaded them no problem. ???

Yeah they're right, Goldwave shows massive clipping. I'd recommend using Goldwave to see how the final mix looks, it's free too. www.goldwave.com

"Walking" clips too, but not as bad.

"knife" is even worse

i boosted the db's to give the mix a louder sound. i made a final mixdown, then boosted the db's in the song as a single track.

was the clipping caused by this? should i do it differently?
