I'm making an album of covers with guest singers, a guy I work with chose this song. We kind of crossed Harry Nillson's version with Stephen Stills' version. There's some imperfections (a couple of bum notes and some mic rumbling) but I think I can live with this.

Recorded into pro tools using an mbox2.

"Everybody's Talkin"

mix sounds fine...good balance of guitar and strings. Nice interpretation of the song.

Not my fav Nilsson tune - the song he wrote for the movie, ("I Guess the Lord Must Be In NY City" -& which was rejected by the producers), is a much better song & more suited to the themes, however this cover is pitched very much in Nilssonland vocally & the fellow does a nice job of it.
The string arrangement is "nice" but could use some drama & twist beside the original themes though the slight variation you use it pretty good in terms of tension building.
