I'm only 17 and began to like rap 2 years ago, and I started making some beats with Cakewalk (Pro Audio 9/Sonar) and many people have listened to them. They all love them, and they're really impressed since I'm 17. I have lots of experience in music since I've played violin for 3 years, piano for 8 years, I've been in a choir for 8 years (lol, i know it sounds stupid but it helped me out a lot...), I've been in a punk band for 3 years (we had played only 11 shows). I've been able to do all of this with ease since I have perfect pitch ear (I don't know if you've heard about this, but suppose I'm in another room, and you play any note on a piano I can't see, I know instantly what note it is, and if you play a chord, even a weird one, I can tell all the notes you've played.) I made 32 beats in 3 months really easily (the most complicated one took me 1h30 to make), and about 10 of them are really high quality. Someone asked me to make techno remixes of Escape from Enrique Iglesias and Cry from Mandy Moore, and even though I don't really like this music, it turned out pretty good.
Now I'm getting many offers, and some MCs are ready to pay me up to 50$ for a beat. How should I deal with this? I'd like to get some cash, take courses, buy better stuff... and I'd like to get a reputation. What should I do? I mean, if I ever sell a beat for 50$, and the MC i sold it to makes a lot more money, I think it would kinda sucks...
What do you suggest?
