Newbie question

I just bought a Fostex x-14 off ebay. I am a beginner, and my question is...

Am i able to plug my guitar into my Crate amp, then to the 4 track? This won't screw up the recorder, will it?

Just don't want to ruin my recorder before I even get to enjoy it.

If your Crate Amp has a Line or Effects out, you should be able to. Just watch the levels. DO NOT TRY AND RUN IT OFF THE SPEAKER OR SPEAKER OUTPUT!

It would be best if ya Mic it though.
