hi everyone, greetings from puerto rico. I bought a mac book pro for recording, recommend me a good interface under 400$, im a guitarist if it helps on something.
What are you going to want to record in the future? for if you are going to record any drums you should be looking at something with 8 channels if not and your only going to record a track or two at a time there are many to choose from just make sure that they have micpres in it and you'll be fine.
Now as for a DAW google up Reaper and down load it for free and check it out if it's something you like (and I'm sure you will) it will only cost you $40.

hello folks. i'm a newbie like juanito and this is actually my first time to join a forum. i would really appreciate if you could help me out on some of the basic things i need to know about home recording. i just bought a macbook pro yesterday and have switched to logic express 8 from garageband and reason 4. i have never completed a project, but i know some of the basics of my previous daws. my ultimate goal is to be able to complete a song/project using my current workstations. i hope some would have the time to answer my simple questions. thank you.
