I have a passion for singing but I totally suck when it comes to song writting and I was wondering when you are doing demo's do you need to have your own song??

Not if you are trying to sell your vocal ability. You have to have your own song if you are trying to sell your song writing ability.

Great that you enjoy music, in any form. There are many CDs out there with only background music, plus there is usually someone who sings the tune on another track, a guide as they call them.

You can find just about anything from any type of music. Also, the public library may also have these discs that you can check out. Voila, nice deal if you return them on time.

I work with a client who does vocals to background music she buys--many of the discs also give the KEY of the song which is a help.

So, imagine, an entire huge orchestra playing just for you.
