Newbie Piano question

I am just learning piano and I have a harmonics interval training where you start both hands playing these notes together cd ce cf cg ca cb cc. When I get to the cc both the left and right hand are supposed to play middle c. Which thumb do I use?

Well seeing all the answers it looks like I'll have to guess. When the music shows to play middle C on both staffs I'm going to use the hand that's playing the melody. Seems to make the most sense.
