Newbie Looking for Abuse

Well here's my first attempt at recording, it's a little snippet about a minute long that still needs lyrics, but hopefully it's enough to generate some comments.

All comments welcome; style, musicianship, mixing, anything. I need the abuse.

Thanks guys, it probably was a little early to post but being my first effort I got a little carried away.

I'm interested in how the instruments sound together (separation, etc), that is, in the few places where there is more one instrument playing.

I'll finish it and post again in a week or so.

I love the acoustic guitar sound,what mic and pre did you use?
The other guitar sounds good too,and the keys are sweeeeet!

I thought the seperation of instruments was fine.

But a week to repost,man your as bad as me!
(Iv'e taken as long as 3 months to finish a song.!)


Sounds like you have the begginings of some really good stuff here.

BTW-Looks like you figured it out,but,you have to check the "allow all user download" to uncheck the member only box.
Sometimes dosn't work the first time,happened to me today.

Thanks for the comments.

I used a Rode NT1 microphone through my Aardvark Q10 preamp. The mike was about a foot away from the guitar and aimed at the 12th fret.

The other guitar was an electric through a Rocktron head and cabinets, miked with a SM57.

It probably will take longer than a week to finish, I've run into some sort of brick wall, don't have any lyrics, can't sing; I feel like I should leave the song alone until something occurs to me.
