I've been running Audition for a while with my Mbox 2 mini on my desktop PC (Don't care what anyone says, I love audition:)), and protools on my mac laptop for outside the studio. My PC is old and just about dead, and my laptop is getting very outdated (1.5ghz processor, 768 mb ram). I'm buying a new macbook pro to be my only computer used for audio (for now), and I'm getting either a presonus firestudio (or FS tube) or a digi 003R. I'd prefer the FS, but with the 003 I know can use protools. I'm sick of protools and I want something closer to audition (which I of course can't have on my mac). I love the edit window, the spectral view, and the included plugins. That said, I've never used Cubase and I'm scared of getting the presonus, using cubase, hating it more than PT, and not being able to go back to PT.

So I have a few questions.... Does CB4 have an edit window like Audition? Are the included plug-ins good enough for someone like me (small-market voice work, indie films, and local bands), or are they complete crap like the ones in protools? Do they include good adaptive noise reduction plugins, as well as a spectral view? (this is important to me as the films I edit in post usually have horrid sound quality) Also, can I apply a limiter to a track while recording? this will help me decide between the firestudio and the firestudio tube.

Thanks for the help
