Newbie Compression question

I have condenser mic that I plug into the Groove Tubes Brick micpreamp and into my Tascam multitrack recorder.

However, I want to get the ART Pro Vla II compresser.
So in my signal chain is this how I connect it?

Mic>compresser>preamp>recorder

And of course all with XLR cables. Would this be correct?
