High guys is the Boss BR ie 600 900 and 1200 them same sort fo machines as the akai mpc??

I new ( can you tell??? ) and want to start making my own backing beats and songs

Nope.
The Boss units are multi-track recorders with built-in drum machines/rhythmers.
The Akai are samplers/drum machine-sequencers.
