two simple question:
1. I don't get a good place to put the monitors on. Is it appropaite to place the monitors upside down (I mean the tweeter unit at the bottom) as it seems to match the ear level
2. Since the monitors don't get the auto-power off function. Is it ok for me to turn it on even I don't use it for a while?

p.s. the sound of ysm1p is really great.

I've never listened to monitors upside down but I suppose it would'nt be to bad of a thing although positioning is extremely important.

It is like a regular amp so you can leave it on as long as you want in a session. Just make sure you give rest atleast once a day :D Anyway like stealthech told placement is very important. I have never seen one in any of the local studios with tweeter on the bottom, If you do that definitely the bass waves would be hitting the ceiling faster and the indirect waves would come back at the direct waves, spoiling the mix. You can try turning it sideways if that fits.

1. No, it's not appropriate to turn the monitors upside down. You're better off changing their height placement if you have to, so they line up with your ears better (or change/adjust your chair). It's also not recommended to turn them sideways, although that's not as crucial as keeping them the right way up. You can download manuals from various monitor manufacturers' websites that will go into detail about why this should be avoided.

2. Turning electronic equipment on/off repeatedly is often worse than just leaving it on. Obviously if you won't be using the monitors for an extended period of time, I would turn them off.
