Okay,
Keyster, I sent you a private message. Hopefully, you know how to get one. Actually, you'll likely get an email telling you you got one anyway.
As for the soundfont I used, here is where you can get it...
Warren Trachtman Steinway soundfont Needless to say, though I DO have a piano, I generally just use soundfonts. I used to use a mixer and route my keyboard piano as audio, which actually sounds pretty good. This requires less cables, and it seems to work. I have so many soundfonts, I don't always know what I used.
I am pretty sure that it is just the 25 mb file. I have all three from that site, so I couldn't say positively. The 25 mb file is the only one you can get without a small donation, at this time.
Jeffoest--sure I'd sing a song for you. I remember hearing something of yours at least once that I really liked. I'll have to do another search on your name! Also, I know about needing to fade the strings, or cutting them out just at that vamp out.
What would everyone think about maybe replacing the strings with some gospely background vox? Or should I leave it alone? Some like the strings...some have said they should go...some have said it needs nothing but piano and vocal lead. Any votes from y'all on something to either spice it up or mellow it out? Basically, I'll try anything. I will try to add more drums. I'm not guaranteeing a pretty sound from that. I will try to program rather than real time play, since my timing is horrid. I'll simplify the cymbal. I'll be a gospel choir or something.
And two days ago I wrote a new one...who knows when I'll get to record it. Bought my daughter a bunch of musical Christmas presents today. Fun stuff.
Happy holidays!!!!!
