My editor can play mp3s. I load all downloaded mp3s into my editor. Just being able to see the waveform tells a story of its own every time. There's still stuff I don't understand about it, though. People here post stuff that activates my clip meter in my editor when I play it, but I don't hear any distortion. What's that about?

Thats a good question. I've seen similar things drawn in the tracks of Sonar....where no sound exists...

Here's a question: Lets say I have a commercial cd where I like the eq of the program. Is there any software editor that I can use to "take a snapshot" for reference on my own mixes? I burn a lot of drink coasters. I'm tired of guessing how the mix on my monitors will translate, I don't have enough time to commit to ear training for home recording mastering. Is this where a mastering software can help?

Yeah, baby...

This thang swangs.

You have such a unique voice, Jerry.
It's got a killer timbre to it.

I was kinda hoping you would put a guitar solo in there, only because you are such a good lead player.

I was checking out your leadwork while I was Drumming for ya.
Guyz-This cat can play a 10 measure lead and not repeat one riff.

Disgusting.

Nice band behind you on this one, Jerry.
Everyone is playing in the pocket....Niiiicce.

No complaints on the mix...Sounds good.

Nice to see you recording again instead of jabbing sewing needles into your arms or something. :D

I listened to "Dance The Hours Away" and really like the song. There is something going on with the recording, though, that I can't quite put my finger on. It kind of sounds a little bit too bass/mid heavy and not enough "highs" on there...that may be the only way I can explain it.

Very good vocal on there and a tune that moves along nicely. I like your arrangement and dig that piano!

:)
