rayc - Thanks for listening man. I agree about the panning. Don't know why it didn't stick out before. OK, next time I mix it, I'll focus on a bass a little.

Could be the mud mentioned by Rokket.
Track Rat - Thanks for listening. Hehe, I keep thinking of cutting that intro silence and keep forgetting.
Timothy Lawler - Tim, thanks for listening. I'll try to raise the main melody a little.
Rokket - Thanks for listening. I keep going between noticing the mud and liking the mud. But now that you've mentioned it, I'll try to drop a little more in the master out. It's the extra verb added to the melody that wets the whole thing in reverb.
variaxman - Thanks for listening. Interesting point about the left channel dominating. Hadn't notice. Now that you mention it, I notice it a bit. It's also the second rhythm panned left, that does the one-note hits that's probably contributing to it. That one's off time here and there. Not as tight as I'd like.
Nick_Black - Thanks for listening. The uneasy feel you mention might from the slightly off time rhythm hits.

Thanks for the kind words.
All, thanks for the kind words. Especially from some of you "ki**-a$$" (edit: "
KICK A$$". ARGHHHHHH!!!!! - Thanks Track Rat for pointing it out) players. I hadn't expected such a good reception. For a bit of background - this is, as usual, a hymn (a P&W song) that I just put music to. The tune itself is an existing hymn and it allows me to focus on playing and mixing instead of worrying about song structure and the tune.
Thanks again, all.

I'll post the changes made to my previous song and to this song as soon as I can figure out how to use the plugin that I downloaded for free and that has expired. I'm trying to uninstall it, clean the computer and install it again for another round of 14 days of unlimited usage.
Sorry guys, didn't mean to call anyone kiss a$$. I meant KI
