Hello Camphead,

Being another Newbie I thought I'd just say Hi. I'm listening at work so the speakers are not up to much but the sound quality came out really great. I'm not too sure about the sounds that you have put in at around the 58 second mark as I just couldn't relate them to the song. Some acoustic lead guitar would have worked better I think but heck that could be me.

I liked the quirky timbre of the vox. In addition, a combo of the mix level and vox effects gave it an ambient delivery that fit the voice.

Not too much to this tune. Is it done?

[EDIT--for stream of conciousness review ]... ok streaming... arrrrgh! it's bufferin/I'm sufferin'.... nice drum sound and I mean NIIIICE.... acoustics sound out of tune... dirge-like... are you humming in there, and doubling it ala "Good, Bad & The Ugly" movie theme? Cool. Lead guit tone is nice. Cool overdubs... if it would just streeeeam... dammit...

KEWL! Voice comes in & it's flaming lips... you oughtta have "rats" come check this out... (maybe I'll PM him...)

Those low HUMS are what's kickin this song's butt (& mine)...

Damn... starting to sound like "Topher" Hairass too much sugar/amphetamine/crack ...

Almost a 60's psychedelia to it. Very cool vibe. Stick w/us. We like newbies (pecially those w/talent )

Your replies have all been very uplifting. I thought my song may have been a little to indie for this forum, but I'm glad to see that some like that sound as I do.

as far as it sounding like flaming lips, I did not intend that. I do love the lips though so maybe it shows. I thought it sounded like Bright Eyes. Again no intention.

Any opinions on my recording?, mixing?
