I haven't posted anything in quite a while. I'll be moving to Austin soon and getting ready has kept me busy. But I did manage to find time to finish this song.

I really liked that! Not sure if I liked the vocal effects, sounds a bit wierd, a swirling effect, not sure what it is. Otherwise, excellent!

Dang Rick!! Sharp ears. I used a flanger on the vocals, but kept it real light. I just wanted to thicken and change tone a little. It was the first time I tried it. Maybe the last, now.

Wow - great vocals on this tune Chili...

I like the kind of subtle "wah" tone you have on the lead...is that an auto wah or are you using a pedal?

I don't mind the flanger on the vocals - it pops out a bit when you hit the high/loud stuff. Maybe turn the effect down a tad but keep it.

The backups sound good - panned as they are....

Overall great mix.....

Good day IrishPirate! Nice tune here, love the rhythm. The mix sounds real good, clear and rocking. Sounds like you could bring the guitar up a little more in the solo sections near the end or so when you're not singing. The vocal performance and effects in this tune are excellent in my opinion. Cool tune, dug it mate :cool:

I like the strange bastardized reggae/"all along the watchtower"/blues amalgamation. Mix sounds good. I might back off the voc effect just a tad, though.
 
Hey everybody, Thanks for the great comments. I thought I kept the flanger vocal thing to a minimum, but easy enough to dial it back some more. Does anyone else use flangers on vocals?? I was just experimenting with it.

Snakedog - Hey fellow pirate. I'll listen to the guit solo and make changes. (and thanks for the Add on soundclick!!!)

Anselm - Thanks man, I was really trying to steer away from the Watchtower feel. When I first started, that's the impression I got too, I made some changes, but I guess it still came through. I wasn't copying or anything, it just came out that way.
