New song, it's been awhile.

Sounds like you love what you're doing. PERFECT EVERYTHING (almost). I'm gonna' go against the trend here and suggest that that drums are plenty loud...it just needs the bass git to come up about 3db, and that kick will sound a lot louder...although I think it sounds pretty decent as is.

This reminds me of "School Of Fish," and old defunct "college" band when I was in college. The vocals, change-ups, git tones...pretty much all of it. You should listen to the tune "3 Strange Days" by them (minor hit).

Anyway, I think this is great.

Missed this gem .....

Scott,

I had actually downloaded this last month but got distracted and never got to listen to it. I stumbled across it today on my harddrive ("What's this then?).

Well done. I wouldn't change a thing !!! I think any tweaks would be minor personal preferences. Honestly, I can't find any problems.

Lead VOX was nice. What processing did you use?

The background vocals sound like you might have been going for a Beatle thing. Is this true? If you get a chance, listen to a Billy Joel tune called "Laura" - off of "Nylon Curtain" I believe. It's obviously a Lennon/Beatles tribute if you ask me. Anyway - check out the background vocals. Is that the sound you were going for? Just curious. I've always loved that sound and would like to be able to recreate it on some of my own stuff.

Are the drums "live" or MIDI?

Is this an original?

Lastly - what's that I hear during the fade out? A whistle? Falsetto vocal?

Grade = A

I am a major Beatle fan. I am also a MAJOR fan of Enuff Z Nuff whom by the way resides in Chicago.

I can't give away my drum secrets! They are live but edited and pasted and edited and pasted again and reorganized and pasted and edited again. :D

Falsetto no whistle.

LEad vox = small amount of compression > small (very small) amount of chorus > small amount of delay/echo.

Thanks for the complements!

I didn't expect to see this post again.

Major Beatles fan ....? .....

I left this out of my original post because I thought the reference might be lost - but the lead vocal (and entire song as well) has a Badfinger feel to it.

You didn't mention whether this was an original or not.

BPOCO.
