New song for my band

lol thats not the name ill use in the end but this is just the start. guitars are not multitracked except in the intro and wherever the bass is playing.. i havent recorded it for the next parts
anyway how does it sound on ur speakers and comments on the songwriting are welcome too!
some timing issues occur here and there but will be fixed as i had looped the guitar parts and sections didnt overlay perfectly in some parts!

You've done a very credible job here . . . it has all the classic metal elements, and they fit together well. You mentioned some timing issues here and there, but they didn't make themselves very noticeable.

There's variety in the structure. Maybe you could think about variety in the sound if there are to be no lyrics.

I'm not a fan of the guitar tone but the song is alright. Nothing mindblowing, but good. The tone just feels a bit hard, rough and dry instead of the full, fat and rich crunch that feels smooth on the ears.

Pretty cool start.

I like the drums around 2:30.

The guitars sound like their tone is shifting around a lot. Sometimes it'll be a nice, solid tone, but other times it'll be the dry, crackling on that valacirca mentioned.

Do you plan on putting lyrics to it?

wow i really wasnt expecting that reaction!!
i expected some serious bashing although this is my best "mix" so far in terms of sound!
thanks for all the feedback ill look into those issues and try re-mixing it!
the drums are drumkit form hell ill repost with metal foundry to see how it sounds and guitar is through guitar rig 4.
maybe a different amp or some better eq would help
there are two different guitars
one in the intro section and then a different one at 1min.
maybe if i added bass to that section it would help give it that solid fullness and ill play with the eq some more!

lol are u saying the drums sound bad?? since at 2:30 there are no drums?
btw gecko i will try varying the sound like u said ! i will attempt a beat breakdown in the repost with the sugar bytes effectrix
