New Song Demo for check, ty for help

Hi gyus. Im creating music using virtual guitars and drums. Here is my new demo song. Can you pls check it and tell me what can be corrected here, I mean some buzz frequencies or volume levels. Ty very much for any advice Seeya.

I usually have a hard time reviewing virtual sounds, and this time is no different.

In general it wasn't too bad. Overall I thought it sounded pretty good.

The cymbals were very swishy. Might be an MP3 conversion or player issue. But they're really swishy/hissy. I thought there was a little too much attack on the kick. It was a bit clicky. Drums in general sound programmed.

The power guitar was a little on the muddy side. Too strong in the low end/low mid range. Might be a personal taste thing.

Kind of minor nits (except for the cymbals). in general it was pretty good.

It doesn't sound bad, just needs some refinement. What do you use for headphones/monitors? It sounds to me like you may not have the best playback setup, which lends to better fine tuning which this seems to be lacking.

You are right unfortunatelly I have cheap denon headphones so Im working with frequencies like kind a blind I need to get money for some better headphones. You wrote about "power guitar" and too much low and mid freq. You mean lead guitar or rhythm guitar ?

Power guitar would be the rhythms.

If you're going to work solely with headphones you'll need to spend about $200 to get something decent enough for mixing (without monitors). I do a lot of my mixing with headphones, then when getting near the end of the process make some adjustments with the monitors. There's a lot of good information on this forum about inexpensive headphone options (yes, $200 is "inexpensive" ). Definitely spend a little time searching those threads for make/models when it's in the budget. Mixing with poor playback hardware is akin to driving blind.
