Hi All,

I know I am not well know around here. But I would like to post a song that I am working on with my brother. I would like to get some feedback on this song. It is nice to hear your thoughts on the artistic value of songs but I am more interested in the sonic value of the mix. For example:
  • Balance: Arrangement and Levels
  • Placement within the Stereo Soundfield
  • Frequency Range or the lack thereof
  • Effects and Dynamics
This song was mixed entirely "Inside the Box" and was a lot of fun. I did a lot of experimentation with the drums and bass. I hope you enjoy it.

That's really nice Hakim. I love the crispy sound of the hats and the snare. I also really like the keyboards. Very well done!

Wow! Thank you guys. Any thoughts on the bass? And what about the dynamics is anyone listening on studio monitors? I am curious how this song sounds on monitors different than mine. Like Yamaha HS80Ms or the ULTRA Flat Blue Skys.

i like it. it's good background music to be working out to or something. easy enough to just enjoy and interesting enough to not get bored. i thought the bass fine. it's kinda flat sounding but the tone you choose is all a matter of opinion.
