Not bad, man. I think the vocal is kinda' loud and too dry, and the guitars are pretty small. Actually, there are a lot of things that could be better, but I get the impression you haven't been at this very long, so I'm thinking you're right on track.

...hopefully, somebody else can be more helpful

Cute song. Read lots more about how to do bodgy mixes - where to put things and what sort of levels you need.

The best thing you can do is listen to everything and anything - get your ears used to hearing ALL of the music. Then start chasing the sound.

In relation to the weak/thin guitar sound that Chris pointed out - I presume you are micing the amps and then recording them through the mixer? If so, stick a pair of headphones on and get your guitarist to play. Move the mic around, between the cone and the edge of the speaker till you find a nice sweet spot. Record there!

Keep postin'

everything sounds very far away. The song itself is good...but really...did you HAVE to use the 'phone' plug-in? Part of being punk is not being like everyone else.

Like the guitar work on the bridge...some of the vocals sound very similar to this time I went out drinking and then projectile vomited...I think there is a difference between emotion and overdoing it a bit. I guess what I am saying is mix it up a bit...if you are always singing at 10...where do you go when you want to show intensity?

Having just heard the end of the song though...I am starting to think maybe this was run through a board at a show? If that is the case...that would explain the 'far away'ness of it.
