BB,
quite a nice piece. The stoccato 4 chord changes need something to emphasis them - maybe a cymbal, tamb. or volume.
The effect on the intro electric should either be panned to the opposit side OR centre it & the guitar.
The distorted electric is good & the panned balance of it & the other is quite effective. The gear change comes & goes without roewarning - a little abrupt. Could use a slight fade in effect & the the abrupt fiish to it would work even better.
Sudden finish! Could have some heavy echo to repeat the last note or so.
This is developing well - keep at it.

Nice one so far, bubba. Nice vibe. No nits from me..can't wait to hear what it develops into... :D

Hey BigBubba - very nice tone coming out of my speakers on the guitars. The effects on the leads are just right on this one. The spread on the instruments has given it a wide feel - fills up the listening space well.

The raunchy part might come up a touch in volume as it seems like it wants to be loud but is suppressed by the fader guy ( :D ).

Just my few thoughts as I listen....

Very smooth song overall......

:) :D :) :D

RAYC, thanks for listening man. :)

Stoccato? Sorry, don't understand the music lingo. Who do you think I am, a musician? :) Alright, joking aside, don't know what a Stoccato is. Maybe point is out using a time marker????

The effect on intro? Meaning the delayed echo?

Gear change? With the drums and all? I thought it did a fade in. But it didn't do a fade out. I'll try to work that in. Now that you mention it, it sticks out like a sore thumb without a fadeout. :)

I've been wanting to add a solo towards the end. :)

Thanks for listening. :)

Dogman, thanks for listening. I gotta teach you the words one of these days and have you do the vox and maybe even the guitars. :)

Ido, thanks for listening dude. :) I appreciate you listening to it. :)

Raunchy? Hehe, never thought of it that way. :) That fader guy is trying to keep the here-comes-my-bitchin'-solo effect from taking over. :)

Might make the bass more heavy and add a solo towards the end plus as Ray suggested, to smooth out the "raunchy" part. :)

Thanks again, all.

Any more comments? Not even negative comments? I'd like to improve.... I'll post an updated version with the suggestions taken into account soon. :)

Thanks all. :)

Updated the mix. Used some suggestions. Working on other suggestions.

Ray, that was a good catch about instrument change (which I assume is where the drums and come in). I've tried to build it up more and then go sudden stop with some verb on the last guitar note. :)

Ido, I've raised the overall volume in the heavier interval.

Anyone with ideas about the mix is welcome to post them. Even drums, mixing, creative ideas. Whatever ideas you got about improving the song, put them on the table. :)

Love the echo and melody on the lead guitar, sounds good.
The acoustic sounds distance, which lets the lead melodies shine.
at 1:23 sounds like you have an electric echoing, that whole melody could come up a bit in volume, to match the volume of the clean leads before and after it.
The 2:17 part is real cool, could fit a better though IMO. Maybe a little less echo or more EQ action there. Fast part sounds fine and outro is cool.
excellent piece here. Enjoyed the sounds and playing, nice Big B :)

Very nice. No critique from me except maybe that the delay on the acoustic guitar is kind of electronic sounding but that's just my own taste. It'd probably be just right with a vocal in front.

A non-musical comment: good idea I think to activate the mp3 download feature on files at Soundclick. Makes it easier to listen during times when streaming is stop'n'go.

Thanks SnakeDog5050, for listening and commenting. I appreciate it. :)

I'll listen to the parts you mention. At work right now and will listen at home on the system. :)

I'm glad you like it. :)

Hey Tim, thanks for listening. I appreciate it. :)

Might dial down the delay a little during next mix. :)

About downloads, I tend to now allow download 'coz I don't want copies of my music out there that aren't complete. So I figure I'd enable download once the final version is out there so anytime anyone has a copy it's the same version. But I'll try to convince myself to change that behavior. :) I'm a control freak that way. :) Of course, I can also make it available off of lightningmp3.com that way only people here have copies and not others in the wild. :)

Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you like it. :)
