Ohh god, what a sh*t mix.
Only kiddin man. Sounds really good. Very clean mix. The guitar at the intro doesnt sound too great but once everything else kicks in the guitar tone works. Would sound alot better if the guitar recording had some more space. By this i mean not so up front and (dont hate me for saying this) direct sounding. Maybe add some reverb or tweak the distortion settings or use a far mic also and then put them in phase with the close mics at mix down.
The snare fits this style soo much, nice and tight and really hi and punchy. The kick drum is bugging me a little. You maybe boosted the hi end too much or cut too many mids or cut too many lows.
Great stuff though Finster as usuall.

Distant mic'ing is something i dont practice alot in metal.
Once in a while yes, but my "preference" is the in your face sound.

Ditto on the guitar tone - it's great in the mix but I wanted something more at the start.

Other than that, this is pristine and kicks arse. I'm no metaller but I could happily listen to this any time.

yeah, in the beginning the guitar sounds like its kinda centered, i like the "wider" guitar sound once the music kicks in. but man this is an awesome mix, the vocals are outstanding. the drums sound good to me, but the snare is maybe a bit loud? i'm kind of hesitant to start giving any advice on here since i'm a total newb. anyway the band sounds good, and the recording does too.

The snare will go down in volume with the limiting at the mastering stage im pretty sure and i think the snare will be totally fine. Great mix.

I absolutly F'n loved it! Nice to hear some good ol' metal with vocals you can understand...you captured there performance nicely...you just dont get a "outstanding" on this one..you get a "out-F'n-standing" !
