Welcome Dave!
Checked out your link, and listened to a bunch of tracks.
I think you're in the right place.

Hi all, Thanks for letting me in!

I am Paul, age 60 from the UK. I have played in bands for over 40 years, mostly bass or rhythm guitar, and have recently fulfilled a dream in getting a space and some gear together to record myself and some local friends just for fun.

I have a M2 Mac Mini running Logic XI, Adam A5 monitors and a simple Focusrite Scarlet interface. I have a couple of cheap mics and friends have kindly loaned me some decent ones for recent projects.

I need to take some echo out of my studio - too many hard surfaces at present - so will be focusing on what you guys advise in that section now and just reading plenty of your wise words across the site. I’ve loads to learn so thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge.

Hello hello! My name is Adam and I'm located in the South Eastern US. Been playing bass, guitar, and synth since I was in highschool in the 90s. Played bass in a heavy hardcore band for a few years when I was a kid. For the past few years I've been recording my own heavy music demos digitally, largely "in the box". But now I've got a small space and some mics so I'm here to learn from y'all so I can begin recording other musicians and bands.

Thanks for letting me join. I've been making music since I was a kid, and I'm now retired. In my late teens I had a 4 channel mixer and 2 track Sony tape recorder. 'Editing' involved a razor blade and tape to splice section into songs. For the last ten years my 'studio' has been a Lexicon Alpha and PC running Audacity in the spare bedroom. I've recently upgraded to a Zoom R20 which is a quantum leap in technology, but still in the same spare bedroom.
Musically, I've spent a few decades on orchestral double bass, played folk, rock and roll, church music, musical shows and other genres. It's all music to me, and each genre presents its own challenges. Nowadays I mainly play jazz bass and guitar, and play with a local ukulele group for the fun and comradery.

I didnt mention that I live about half a mile from the famous Rockfield Studios where Queen, Oasis, Brian Eno, Coldplay and a load of others recorded.
