I'm new to this whole recording thing but I'm looking forward to digging in. I'm planning to become a travelling busker in a few months and I'd like to have a solid CD out showcasing my work before then.

I was planning on treating recording as a learn-as-I-go type thing, but I've had a lot of success learning through joining forums before. It's going to be nice to speak to some fellow gear heads for once, god knows in my area Chevy vs Ford is the topic of choice.

Been away from recording and playing for a while (still have an old Tascam 424mk11!), but recently started up playing with some friends again. Had a lot of fun in the late 90's early 00's recording different styles and applying loads of effects. Possibilities look a little overwheling now. Which is a good thing I think.

I have an old PowerPC Mac. Still does the job if ya got the right software (Garageband or an older version of DP). A beast!

my name is Shella and i am a absolute beginner. I know nothing about music recording but am eager to learn. My main worry is how to attach the cables
all my equipment are from my singing days. i would like to start with what i have. Problem is i don't know how they fit them together.:o lol
so will be needing a lot of help and sugestions

Hi, I've been lurking here for a bit, but haven't properly introduced myself. Been recording for many years. Started with a portastudio, graduated to 8 track 1" tape, eventually ditched the tape machines (kinda wish I still had them, though) for a pc based system. Currently running Sonar 8.0 PE. Record mostly rock and acoustic stuff (my own or friends). Always looking for new ideas/techniques and to learn from other's experiences.

I am Dexter. I have an Apex 451 connected to a Behringer Micropower PS400 phantom power supply which then goes into an M-Audio Fast Track interface yet I cant get any sound. What am I doing wrong? Losing my hair here. Please help.

My name is Bill, and I am a non-recovering record-a-holic..

I am putting the finishing touches on my Prog band's latest album Territorial Chant 6 which has ONLY been 8 years in the making!!!!

I use Samplitude 11 for mixing and mastering, we track with Pro Tools in our main Studio for now...
