Very nice -- I love that burgundy matte finish. If the pickups sound good, it's probably best to leave them alone and get a lot of good tracks with them.
My son has the lowest end of Epi SGs -- the "bully" -- the pickups sounded pretty weak and bad, and so I bet yours are the nicer ones. We put a Seymour Duncan something-or-other in the neck position, and for his birthday, I got him a Gibson "dirty fingers" and we just put it in the bridge position last weekend. Sounds great, but it's a little hot, so he has to turn down the guitar volume a lot.
But anyway, he plays the Bully all the time, and he's even going to play it at his school's annual Scottish festival in a couple of months -- at the basketball stadium in Houston (how's he getting gigs like that!?
).
As far as the neck goes, I swear the neck on the Bully is sturdier than the neck on my Gibson SG Supreme, which has already broke and been glued back -- the shipper left the strings tight when he shipped it, and UPS applied their usual delicacy to handling it -- something about the angle of the head makes them want to pop off under tension/impact -- sucks
