Hey everyone am pretty tooo new in that i have Akai xr20 Roland Gaia, congas, drums , saxophone and guitar with it's amp and boss me 70 multi effects ,monitor speakers and a MacBook what else do I need to start producing and recording.

basics are mic > audio interface > audio software

also cables, mic stands, pop filter for vocal

Thanks for your reply but what audio interface and audio software is good for recording

If you only need a couple analog inputs, the Emu 0404 USB ($200) I have is great, or Echo Audiofire stuff or Focusrite Saffire Pro stuff get great reviews. RME Fireface UC or used FF400 or FF800 are very solid mid-to-high end interfaces if you can afford one. I use the UFX and it is superb, but the pres and converters on the Emu 0404 USB compare favorably.

I use Reaper software ($60) by Cockos. It's great.

You are going to need mics as well. Tell us your budget and we can advise better.

2000$ is my budget , I was also adviced to get fast track m audio 4*4 /interface and a mixer but how can I connect them appreciate your help thank

Your not really going to need the mixer, but I use one, and again I don't have to.

Mixer is superfluous. In addition to what you have, you only need:

mic(s)
audio interface with preamps
Reaper software
mic stand(s), cable(s), pop filter

You should also consider treating your room. See gikacoustics.com and realtraps.com .
