New girl here, blue yeti mic question.

I forgot to say all I did was used reafir in the reaper program and let it do it's magic. I just recorded that audio with sound recorder, maybe it will sound even better when i record with reaper. :-)
 
It shouldn't sound any different (though you never know your luck) but it'll be less messing around to do everything in the same programme.
 
Cool, did you listen to the two different audios? It sounds so much better I'm happy! I saved with default settings is that ok? And is there anything else I should do to the audio , sounds good to me but I dunno if it could overall sound better.

Bobb and ecc you guys have been very helpful and I thank you for that, dealing with me this whole time. I am trying to see if I can like rate you guys or something lol. Thanks!

Just wanted to say I use a Blue Yeti and a laptop or even a surface pro, along with audacity. The quality is not that bad if you can be close to the mic. Otherwise you really need to have a quiet room.

Don't be afraid to crank the mic gain. I start mine at 12:00 and run some tests with the different mic settings, and adjust accordingly. If you have to be far away from the mic, you will get the most out of the "omni" setting on the back. (The full circle). If you are speaking close the mic, the circle with a dent is better. :) Don't forget the front of the mic is the side with the "mute" button on it. Talk into that side, NOT the top, and NOT the back. Huge difference.

Also, as previously suggested, unplug any power cables to your laptop if you can...it can create a god awful buzz.
