Good: it has a nice swing and I like the bassline, is that a lead? The drum pattern keeps me interested and the melodie is real cool, it kind of reminds me of some Lost Boyz ish.

Bad: I don't know if you mixed this down any but the stereo imaging is very narrow. Sounds like it's missing just a lil something instrument wise.

Possible idea: Pan the hats, cymbals, pecatto. Add some strings and or brass to the bassline and pan the brass and or strings to open up your stereo image.

Welcome to the forum, I peeped you out a few times at Future Producers. I'm just sharing my 02 cents so take that as a grain of salt.

I think it's missing one of the following: an extra synth or two, some strings to help the pizzi, or some brass (like Jug said...I missed that)

Also, you might want to compress some of your drumline a little more such as your hi hats, cymbals, claps, and the woodblocks to bring it out to the front.

Bassline is good. Jumpy yet hard at the same time.

Fiev.

Thanks for both responses. What yall stated can def be done and thanks for that cause its hard to get feedback like that. So I feel good. Damn im excited. Even if u told me it was waack i'd still be excited. Why? Because u cant always make a hot beat everytime. Also im just gettin back into beats so its gonna take me awhile to get it down. I start easy then i'll move to complication.

I think the beat itself is good..I think maybe by picking some different instruments...it would change the whole character...like now its a happy beat...I think changing maybe the bass(not sequence just diff bass) maybe layer that with a synth instead of the pizz..or maybe even a guitar(Im not sure if ya played the pizz or layered the bass with pizz)...the bass seams to grimmy for that beat...and the difference in pitch between that and the pizz make it happy beat..layering a bass with a lets say guitar at same pitch would in my opinion tighten it up and then mix volume of guitar just so its just barley audible...it adds character to the bass.....aLso the hi hats and cymbals were too bright maybe pick something more lofi.I think the subtle changes in instruments could make it hard instead of happy...all in all its good and this is just my humble opinion

I lived in Augusta for a few years. I know Tone Beats, Poa Boi, 5 Dub.....I heard of Cashious Clay from aiken and I know L Wright, Cadence from your area. Small world. Cats from Augusta and Aiken stop in here and Future Producers every once in a while.

the beat is nice i dont much like the instruments. I think somebody touched on it above. its kind of like sounds from diferent styles collabbed in one beat. sometimes it can be pulled off tho. i would like to see your mix brought o0ut a lil more. the bass hits but the highs are buried in it. if they were more out from they would help keep refreshing the ear. . just my 2

Preciate it but i just want yall to know i do this for fun not to make money, get fame, ect. So if i neva sale a beat i dont care and if i do i guess i do.

Thanks peeps for checking me out.

I like it.It makes you feel good when you listen to it don't it?Thats what its all about.I want to get back to that.Don't stop keep movin and all I can say is maybe use some better sounds thats about it.What are you mixing on?Do you have a good mp3 converter? It sounds OK on my headphones .If I had monitors maybe I could critique you more.Keep posting.

In a nutshell with no real critique : "I thought it was cool"....... Get someone to do something ontop of it and I bet it be hot!
Any flaws can be sewed up in the mix.....

Let us hear it too!

I think it a nice up tempo beat..and sometimes beats like these can make you feel like you need to add more stuff...try and get someone to flow over it and see how you feel about the track.. it work with me a couple of years back when i post a happy track(Its a Party) on here..not to many was feelin it..then i posted it with the vocals..and they saw where we were goin with the beat and lyrics..

good work ..listen listen to the pointers the other give you..we dont make people feel like the crap (all the time)..and we always gives tips on making your music better..thats why this is the best place to get feedback...stay up..peace
