New Audiophile 2496 drivers- Problems?

The new drivers that supposedly fix the time lag and latency issues for the Audiophile are now available.

Would somone who has this card check out the new drivers and let me know if it changes the sound of your mixes in Sonar. I noticed the low end seems more defined but the highs seem a little harder since I upgraded this driver. I am having to remix my songs based on the changes. I am also getting more dropouts when I open and close plug ins.

Anxious to see how others are affected or if you have the same results.

I upgraded last week and haven't noticed any change. It sorted out intereference when clicking the mouse anmd moving the cursor on screen.

If your using the XP drivers they came out on Friday.
I installed them and could not get my media players to work so I reinstalled the old drivers.
The truth is I never had any problems with the old ones anyway but I just wanted to see if I could get my latency down from 2.9 ms.I got it down to 1.5 but it was'nt worth the problems that it caused.

I can live with 2.9 ms.

Yeah, I may have to go back to the previous drivers too. I am still getting 1.5ms but was hoping to eliminate the track drag in layering successive tracks which put things slightly out of time. After about 15 tracks you notice that the instruments and vocals are not that tight due to the lag with the old driver.

I was hoping to get this corrected in the current issue however it seems in solving one problem they introduced some others, like my CPU cycles are running around 60% now at 1.5ms and in the previous drivers they were down in the 20-30% range for the same song.
