OK, A neve 33112 is a mic pre amp with right?? or not. I saw one in a store tonight but I did not look too close...ust the price! I cant find them in any search...help

The important questions:
Does it work?
Has it been serviced?
How much does it cost?
If yes to the 1st two and cost is under $400, its a steal, under $800, worth it, over $1000 then its getting fairly steep.
Just my opinion.

First,it is a 33112 neve ,a racked pair. It is at guitar Center for $3500 but they will go $3000.00 I have not heard of a 33112. A 33114 or a 33115 ok. I can get a 33115 from Vintageking or any of those guys for 3k all day. I thought 3k for this33112 was steep.I dont know where your getting your prices from. $800.00 woth it? Any neve pre amp will go for very high bucks......expecially if it has been racked and is ready to go,Jim

I know what they go for, BUT, you didnt say it was a stereo unit for one, and for two, if it was coming directly from a trusted source, like Brent Averill, I'd pay more. Not when I dont know what I'm getting or what state of operation the thing is in. Over a grand for a SINGLE channel is pushing your luck if you dont know its history. It could need another grand worth of work. Those things arent exactly new. I thought maybe you found a steal, but looks like they know what they have. I'd just go with Brent Averill and his warranty if I was going that route.
The only plus side to buying there is they might let you put it on layaway and pay on it.

it was racked by brent averille. yeah it a 2 channel pre. ok,maybe I did not say that..duh!!!! but my main thing is I have not seen ads for a 33112a! I see lots for as I said the 33115/33114 etc. I wonder what the difference is. Im still thinking about buying it,there real hot to sell it..commision salespeople ya know!!

Well, Brent Averill sells the pair for $2700 fresh out of rehab with warranty, so if they'll take $2400 or less, then you have yourself a deal, if not, tell them to stick it sideways anywhere they like. Otherwise, order directly from Brent and get your warranty and shit.

Funny Tubedude....gtr center got theres from Brent direct! They are like a dealor. They give a 1 year warrenty...it is actualy fron Brent I think. Its all becoming clear. But $2400.00 FOR WHAT? I mean what model neve pre....they do run up and down depending on model,jim

mayday,,,Mayday!!! I just went to brent web site!! For the 33122a neve 2 micpre's racked...drum roll please!! $2700.00 So children that means gtr center was trying to jack the price up to $3500.00 and when I squacked they went to $3000.00 real quick and i can see why. I have to think they get a deal themselves from Brent Averill being a big chain. I'll bet they buy them for $2200.00 or so. Thanks Tubedude!! You know I thought I went to Brent's site to find the neve in the first place but could not,,well we've all had the stomach bug thats been going around so I was probably out of sorts,Thanks Jim

The 33112 from what I remember, is alike the 33114.
It should have a 3 band EQ on it correct?. It is also
considered one class under the 1073 but hey ! it's damm good !.
If I also remember correctly there are 2 versions Discret and not.
If I'm correct you had better check it out that may also be the price difference. The discret should be worth 20% more. It doesnt mean though that the IC version is not as good in sound quality.
Also they have to be racked as they need a external output transformer to work properly.
Also if I remember corectly.....the "a" version adds a few small add ons like a led and mabe a bit more then that. But some how I am aware of that on the 3114 and not the 3112.....could be the 3112 follows the same logic.
