Need help with triggers also

I have a 9 piece double bass kit currently with 6 toms and a snare. I would like to ultimately invest in triggers for all of the drums. I am completely uneducated when it comes to this. What do I need to accomplish this? Where do you recommend I get the items necessary? What cost am I looking at?

Also, is there a way to properly mute the kit? I am playing in a garage and do not have the ability to sound proof it based on my living situation. I have to play at odd times during the day, so my practice has become limited. Is there any way to have both the triggers and muting done simultaneously?

ive built many drum triggers. you need to order (look on the net) FLAT piezo-electric triggers. they have a white bit in the centre surrounded by gold circle and cost about 20c a piece. i used to buy them bulk.
all you do is connect to a male quarter inch jack. the white bit of the piezo
is grnd and the gold ring the live trigger signal.

It doesn't really matter how you wire a piezo, seeing as how it produces an AC voltage.
You do, however, need a module to connect the triggers to.
