Hello,

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I'm having issues with audio clipping/stuttering in Cubase. I know, BIG SURPRISE! I've been using Cubase since the early 90's and have always had audio playback issues of some kind! WTF

Here's my setup

1. MSI K9A2 platinum motherboard
2. AMD Phenom X4 9550 Processor
3. 6GB RAM
4. M-Audio Delta66 Audio Interface w/up2date M-Audio drivers and control panel.
5. 2 Internal Hard drives - One for OS, Cubase, plugins, etc. The other for all Audio files.
6. Windows 7 Ultimate
7. Cubase 5
8. Many Plugins

All the work I do is with Cubase and VST/VSTi's. I have no hardware Synths or any other MIDI instruments.

I feel my PC should be able to handle a lot more than it does. If I load 4 Soft synths and 2 wav files in Cubase I get a lot of clipping and stuttering with the M-audio ASIO driver. It's always the M-Audio ASIO Driver that's clipping. I have plenty of processor and hard drive head room.

Any ideas? I have searched high and low on the internet and on these forums with no luck.

I currently have the ASIO/WDM Buffer size set at 256 in the M-Audio control panel, but have raised it with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pat
