Need Help w/Focusrite Problem

I'd appreciate any guidance here!
My TrakMaster Pro is acting up.
When I plug a mic into it (4 thus far), the input signal fluctuates in and out in an odd sort of way.
Sometimes hissy, sometimes flangy/chorusy like and there is no rythmic pattern to it.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I have a note in to Focusrite and Musicians Friend.
Funny that my warranty ended April 11, 2006...............

Repaired by Tony Marra et al and all is well.
Focusrite gave me some grace time on the pre.
Nice Customer Support I'd say!!
