I can record with two mics, but when i try to add a third track, it goes back to the 2nd input instead of the third...
Can someone help?

Obi-Wan zenabI said:ok, so I went to record today and had zero luck. same thing. the shift key was useful, but it was not the thing that was causing my original problem.
I eventually figured out the path to activating the other inputs, but heck if I can remember what I did to get to that menu. It wasn't the drivers, and it wasn't in devices->vst inputs, either.

If anyone could answer my other topic, Id really appreciate it!
TelePaul said:Was there some talk of expanding the VST window that displays the inputs? Just that you have to enlarge it to see all the inputs listed.
Obi-Wan zenabI said:Yes, that was one thing I tried, and it would not let me. So I minimized cubase and clicked around in Control Panel until I found something that let me turn on the other inputs.... I think it was in control panel ->audio devices... I clicked and scrolled thru so many durn menus!
Only after activating them there could I grab the bottom of that VST window and pull it down to activate the other inputs in cubase.
Not looking forward to doing all that again whenever I get a new computer!
TelePaul said:Thats odd..I'll have to remember all this because I really like the loo of the firepod/firestudio. Hmm. Very strange.

Obi-Wan, I think you're looking for Control Panel > Device Setup or something like that. Where you can see all the busses- inputs, outputs, auditions, etc. By default, at least on my Firebox, only the Main Inputs 1 & 2 are active. You create a new bus and select Inputs 3&4, 5&6, and so on.Obi-Wan zenabI said:Yes, that was one thing I tried, and it would not let me.
