Need Help.confused!

Here's the problem im interesting in getting a m audio soundcard for midi and use of condenser mic for vocals.
these two soundcards i dont know if these two are the same or not!! they look alike and sound alike...here's the first one

i think one is a pre amp to push a condenser mic with phantom power,but does i also have midi so i can use a keyboard also? please review and let me know. all i want to do is use it as a midi input for keyboard and for a mic hook up with phantom power...let me know

Hmmmm

These are diffrent units completly...

One has MIDI IN/OUT and doesnt have XLR connections

The one without phantom power (due to not having XLR connectors) doesnt have a "stereo out" jack ...

One has 1/4" outputs the other unit uses L+R rca connectors instead...

In short........... Ones the "M-Audio MobilePre" the other an "M-Audio Audiophile USB Audio/midi interface".

so what im looking for i should get the mobile pre...cuz i want to record my vocals with a condenser mic....and that phantom power is what i need. so now what do i get to use my midi keyboard anything you suggest since i cant use the mobile pre usb? i always looked at these and i guess i saw phantom power one day looked at the other one thinking it was the mobile pre and seen midi i/o and said this is all i need! but there to seperate ones...dont they have just a midi i/o cable to hook to usb? :confused:
 
Hmm you can buy a midi controller for USB methinks for small amounts of money... these are no where as near as expensive as the pre would be.

I would suggest you buy the M-Audio preamp, and consider buying a seperate MIDI interface... they are widely availible and you can get em pretty cheap on ebay... The Audio/midi interface is worthless to you if you want to run a condensor, you would have to buy another preamp anyhows...

Dolphin Music has a selection of them for you to browse through...

This is a good example of a cheap USB/MIDI interface... Dont know what its quality is like tho...

Dont need to answer the other question, looks like other people have given you decent answers :)
