need help (alesis D4)

Hiho,

i bought an alesis D4 and now i have a problem with it.
so, when i turn it on, and pick an drumsound while hitting the Preview button, i only hear a scratched like sound.

even if i want to hear the demo sound from it.

so, is there someone who has the same problem or can tell me what i did wrong?

That button needs to be hit hard. Don't just tap on it. Make sure the D4 is secure and give it a wack!

You will hear it.

Oh and make sure the sound is turned up in the mix.

i now know why my D4 has a malfunction.
it was a wrong power supply. i used one wich was not from the original D4.
so now i use the supply from my SR-16 and it works.
